26x champ, incl. '16, '17, '18 AOA Nationals AOA Color Champion in 2016 fleece and in 2017 Halter and Fleece! He has more wins that can be counted, but check his show results below to see his consistency! We had been looking for quite a while for that one special black male to add to our herd in complement to our Dark Secret / Black Maestrom line. Fate smiled on us when we saw Stradivaruius as a juvenile to add to our program. Even in his tui tips, we knew he was the one and acte ...

proven dam of lovely girls in COLOR

AutumnSun's Eirwen

Huacaya Bred (Female) White

AOA# 35427230 DOB: 7/21/20176 yrs
Eirwen is the daughter of our multiple champion black herdsire, Dark Secret, who has sired many greys and black offspring (including out multiple champion Black Maelstrom). So, whereas we had hoped Eirwen would be black (as her dam has produced black before), we are still hopeful that Eirwen can produce black (with her dark lips and nose in evidence that she carries some dark genetics). Her first girl, Isolde, a dark fawn by Stradivarius, has lovely fiber but didn't make our show string as a ...

Congratulations to Anthony Stachowski for his winning bid and for selecting AutumnSun’s Guinness for her maiden breeding!

Isolde (beautiful one in Celtic) is the lovely offspring of our 26x black champion Estates Stradivarius out of AutumnSun's Eirwen, sired by our champion black Wolf Den's Dark Secret. Stradivarius’ banners include several at the AOA National Fleece and Halter Shows. Secret has several banners himself and has sired champions. Multiple times Eirwen's dam (AutumnSun's Sweet Patriotic Song) has produced black and her champion half-sister (AutumnSun's Danica) has produced dark crias. With Isolde’s pedigree, we were confident she would produce black before we received her color genotyping: “Ee Aa3”. Heterozygous in both ASIP and MC1R genes she is partially dilute in expressing her red tone of the dominant A allele. But her black allele is a3 which means with the right pairing she will produce black with a good depth of color (a ‘truer’ black).

Isolde is a sweet girl, an often overlooked trait that is sorely missed when absent. She is free moving and carries herself well with overall pleasing type and feminine head put together in an elegant frame. Her fiber is soft, uniform, and luminous with good staple and crimp in a well covered fleece.

If you wanted to promote black in her maiden breeding, she could be bred to our 13x black champion AutumnSun’s Black Maelstrom (we believe he should be “Ee aa” based on his progeny coloration) as it would only be 6.25% coefficient of line-breeding and would pair "Maelstrom line” with the “Stradivarius line”.

Or, you could breed her to AOA National Fleece champion AutumnSun’s Guinness, another of our black herdsires. He was the first cria out of our 9x champion Red Granites Molly, missing most shows as he was a little slower getting going. But his first cria is a dynamite TB with a heavy, greasy feel to his fleece. Molly made AutumnSun’s Peacekeeper, sold to Oberstein Alpacas in Austria as a yearling (himself also producing black), and AutumnSun’s Marvelous Miranda who just sold at AAA. She is “Ee a3a3”, one notch away from being the perfect black color! How stellar, pairing up genetics of Guinness with Secret and Stradivarius!

Other potential service sires in our extensive herdsire row of champion quality genetics... AutumnSun’s Axios, producing black crias from fawn dams (i.e. AutumnSun's Divine Glamour) and passing on high luster on beautifully organized crimp style (i.e. AutumnSun’s Oraine). ...Our classic LRG AutumnSun’s Artorius, 5x banner winner who was described by the 2023 AOA judge as the example to see for zipper crimp! ...AutumnSun’s Truthsayer, an extremely fine, uniform neo-classic DRG who won 3 fleece banners at AOA Nationals (his daughter, 2x!) passes on his fine fleece on in all colors but one of his lightest crias, Champagne Bubbles (a fawn out LF dam), color-typed “Ee a2a2” - ready to make black crias when bred right.
