Argenta Granite’s Molasses

This dam has great genetics for black and grey. On her sire's side she has PPPeruvian Yupanqui. On her dam's side there is Emerald Farm's Orlando Cloud and Premier's Absolute.

She had a beautiful little true black male by the amazing Granite Bay's Royal Steel, but unfortunately lost him after birth. As a maiden, it isn't uncommon to have a smaller first cria, and this boy was definitely small at ~8 lbs. We tubed and bottle fed him but he was not able to struggle past this disadvantage.

Since she has a lineage with black and grey and she has produced black, she had proven herself a candidate dam for our black and grey program, and we breed her to produce black. However, she lost her dark brown (BB?) 2022 male cria shortly after birth with circumstances unobserved and reason unknown but believed to be predation. A sad occurrence that was unexpected.

We really still think that Molasses can produce and the cards just haven't lined up for her yet. She was been bred this year to LiberyAlpaca's Magistrate. Unfortunately after holding for a couple of months, she slipped her breeding and it is too late in the year for us to try again. Since she is being sold open and without warranty we have dropped her price to a ridiculous low amount simply because we need to make room in our herd. She has proven to breed, hold, and birth successfully more than once in the past, but we are being forthright in her status that we have lost her two crias - but AFTER they we born and to different circumstances. You could win big with her uniformity and finesse if you took this girl to your farm. We need to make room in our herd or we wouldn't be selling her.
