RC '16 AOA Fleece, CC '17 AOA Halter Maelstrom is a 13x champion, the 2016 AOA National Fleece Black Reserve Champion, and 2017 AOA National Halter Black Male Color Champion. AutumnSun's Patriot's Promise

Huacaya Open (Female) Bay Black, True Black

AOA# 32586008 DOB: 9/5/201112 yrs
Patriot's Promise was our oldest son's first alpaca. The 'Patriot' in her name refers to her sire's name, but also conveys our pride in our country and its soldiers. Mokkuro had always been spunky and curious, one that we enjoyed keeping in our herd. Due to the bomb cyclone of 2018, she was a little slow to grow to her mature size, but we patiently waited as she was a special girl of lovely potential. She had her first cria this year, a spectacular black male by Stradivarius -- the first in our attempt to cross the Maelstrom and Stradivarius lines. We were overjoyed. Unfortunately we lost her to peritonitis after her unassisted nature birthing -- a freak occurrence. Her boy, tough and strong, continues to grow by sneaking off the other moms, especially a couple of our 'milk bar' moms.

Mokkuro was one of our oldest son's alpacas while he was part of our breeding program so our hearts were heavy when we lost her. We prize her boy and hope that he will continue to grow to his potential and will be watching him closely.
