This our second son's girl and we love having her on our farm. This girl was born in the middle of a storm, found sitting in a puddle with the shelter roof runoff pouring over her head. She had such long fleece and she was so wet that we could not tell if she was a suri or a huacaya until we figured out who her dam was! While being dried, after she had warmed up, she started kicking and fight our efforts -- a really good showing of her fighting spirit. So, her name is a reflection of her notable start and impish nature. She is still an imp and mostly friendly -- always trotting up for her greeting as we enter the paddock and coming to us usually when we call her name but sometimes frowning before she threatens to spit (but she 'peels off' when caught in the act and pretends she wasn't doing anything). These girls and their personalities!

When bred to Grand River Marquis, she produced a lovely, buttery soft classic medium silver grey girl that we have kept in our grey breeding program.

This year she produced a rock solid (can a cria be 'rooted to the ground'?) black male by Dauntless that is packing on lots of impressive fiber.

Sprite is now bred to ...well, either Stradivarius or Truthsayer. Due to an oopsie at the gate that let some of our boys mingle with our new moms including an apparently willing Sprite, she is now bred to either Stradivarius or Truthsayer. Since we would be fine with either offspring, we decided to let nature's course play out and see what serendipity brings us next year.
