Accoyo Carmello's Silky Lady

FDA Accoyo Carmello’s Silky Lady is beautifully well grown with a regal presence, feminine looking on a a balanced frame with excellent substance of bone. Though full Peruvian and 3/4 Accoyo, Lady has color in her background dark pigment around her eyes and gums that shows her color heritage -- evident in the color she can pass on to her cria.

Lady has great fiber coverage with good uniformity and solidity of locks. Her fine 18 micron fleece is lustrously silky and cool with a greasy handle. With her looks and fiber, she took the cottage 1st Place Yearling Light Female & Light Female Color Champion at the IAO Show.

Lady has the genetics and the phenotype to move you forward. Silky Lady’s dam, an Accoyo Ganador daughter Samsara has been a superb producer for Flying Dutchman, by their statement, and remains in their foundation herd. "Producing quality in each offspring, her progeny have been purchased by suri breeders from across the USA. Her sire, Accoyo Carmello, is one of our males that is producing great style and quality... not surprising is it really!"

Lady's cria sired by Accoyo Davinci is a very fine and lustrous white male we named Sioc Ri. Her 2014 cria is a light fawn from our dark brown herdsire Mudslide, which we named Windjammer -- a good color for an Accoyo Peruvian white dam! This boy is even more lustrous than his dam, just in a beautiful sandy fawn color. We like the luster and fineness she is putting out in her crias, and with Windjammer we know she can product some color. The unfortunate thing is that we move out our male crias as 'fiber boys' -- well below what they should be sold and used for -- because we maintain a very small suri herdsire row.

Along with the majority of our suri herd, Lady has not had the breeding opportunities that she deserves. Give Lady the opportunity, and she will produce healthy, robust crias for you with excellent fiber qualities!
