Huacaya Herdsire (Male) Medium Rose Grey, Dark Rose Grey

We think this boy is the darkest 'silky' type we have seen! His fiber is slick and shiny that it looks and almost feels wet! Even judge Tim Lavan commented that his fiber looked almost like it was wet! He has LOTS of fiber on him, and with a really long staple so that it droops somewhat when he is at his peak length. But don't be fooled by this and think that he is not dense... he has a lot of fiber packed on him! He has white fibers in his blanket but not consistently enough to cla ...

Huacaya Open (Female) White, Light Brown

Summer has a easy personality and excellent mothering skills. Her heritage is filled with color, black and grey, as witnessed in the grey highlights at the edges of her lovely fleece. Her conformation is boxy and straight, well-balanced and strong, giving her an easy movement and confident stature. With Summer's daughter and full sister in our foundation herd, the sons of her sister in our herdsire row and their offspring in our show string... it can be seen that we like these genetics ...

Details
Carmine has developed well into a strong, nicely conformed dam with lovely richly colored fiber that feels great to the touch.

Her first cria was a beautiful CMSG girl by Steel Fox, a male we sadly lost after the bomb cyclone storm of 2018. We bottle fed her but her strength gave out and she died in my arms. We sadly lost her as the only silver grey offspring we had then and her sire in the same year (needless to say, the storms that year really set us back).

Based on Carmine's ability to throw grey (not surprising since her dam is full sister to our champion CMRG dam, Rose, who has produced many greys for us), we had bred her to Silver Signature in hopes of tapping into her grey heritage. However, Carmine graced us with fine fibered black male instead. Though we still have interest in her for our grey program, we know she will produce black, too -- which is good as well.

Her next cria for us, sired by our multiple champion Truthsayer, is a strong male that would be a grey if his main color was a dark color rather than light fawn. With his beautiful white marking on his face and light coloration, we named him Crazy Horse after the famous Sioux warrior. She definitely is trying to manifest her grey heritage, she just needs the right pairing!

Carmine has been bred back to grey, this time to our Quixotic son, Majestic's Trouble, for a hopeful grey girl just like her first breeding. Trouble is just starting out in our program but has shown he makes very nice cria with his silver grey boy from a silver dam and almost grey brown girl from a rose grey dam. He hales from Quixotic, so we know his historically significant grey lineage can give him a boost towards grey progeny.

She is proven and confirmed bred by ultrasound, and will have a live cria guarantee. Certificate transfer, exam, and transportation are buyer costs with a month free agisting to arrange transportation.
